Confronting Stress
Woke up today at 7:50 am that was only 6 hours of sleep. That is more than I usually get, and go figure I am always tired. I dont understand if always being tired has to do with my medications, the fact I don't do too much physical activity, too much stress, or the fact I am getting my period every 10 days. I have been taking birth control this time since it started again Friday, and I am trying to force it to leave. I'm aware being tired is a symptom of this disorder (pcos) but I hate always feeling like shit because of it. Being tired also contributes to me being moody throughout the day and the lack of energy I have. As of right now I am taking 2 vitamin D's, 3 Biotin 1000mg's, 1 multivitamin, 1 B complex, 1 vitamin E, and have just started taking an iron supplement daily. Ontop of this I am severely stress out, and as of today I am trying to implement stress reducers into my daily habits. Time management. That is one of my big stressors considering I am always busy. I work two jobs, go to school, and have a serious high demanding girlfriend ( I am a lesbian, newly out..met in college after my 5.5 year relationship with my highschool boyfriend was getting worse and worse daily.) I also notice I have a hard time letting things go which will contribute to stress, so i am deciding to work on that. The tip I am trying to implement in to my lifestyle is " devolope a forgiving attitude& give people chances." The thing that bothers me with this is the fact that since college in January 2011 I decided to just forget people because I was always getting hurt. My friends ment the world to me for about 15years and about 3/4th of them screwed me over constantly or at least once in a major way. I now have a hard time trusting people, however I am trying very hard with my beautiful girlfriend that I believe was my angel and she came just when this disease, my friends, and busy life style were wearing me down. I guess this tip means giving the right people chances will reduce stress. The problem with that is figuring out which people are the right ones. I am guessing the right ones are the ones that will not contribute to your stressors of life, and genuiely care for you. Another tip that got to me and I thought was very logical in helping relieve stress is, Do something for someone else everyday. Due to the fact I am trying to fix my life I have begain considering these stress reducers today and I have stared applying them. I woke up today and happily drove my girlfriend to work for 8 am, came home bathed our 2 dogs, and three cats, also cleaned her mothers whole main floor of the house. I am aware her mother is stressed with her own concerns daily which at times contributes to my stress, so I decided to help her out. I feel good about helping her out. As of right now I have decided to have me time and relax and do one of my hobbies writting. I am drinking my first cup of green tea for the day which I try to get two cups a day in because it is suppoused to reduce stress, and help pcos symptoms. Stress for me everyday life is money, work, school, girlfriend, friends, this syndrome, and family or lack of my own family. Now I am just figuring out how to correct it all taking it day by day. I want to heal and relieve symptoms from pcos, and I know that means correcting my hormones which is balancing emotional issues, excercise, healthy eatting, supplements, stress, and sleep. This is my attempt to heal myself, and help others with my information. This will allow me and others to still live a good life being happy living with PCOS.
