Mood swings..*

Ughhh I dont want to see you today, get your shit and leave me alone. Matter a fact I do not want to see anyone today screw you all. I hate this place I hate this Life, I hate myself. LEAVE ME ALONE. You got me that kind of wine? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? I want you out... Out out out right now.

Mood swings ladies, this is right up my alley. Do to the fact PCOS is caused by hormonal imbalances us women faced with it often live on an emotional rollercoaster! Sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are angry, sometimes we are sad. For me it just depends on the day. It is infact the hormone imbalances that make us ladies crazy. When I am taking my metformin, excercising and low carbing I notice I am usually in a good mood or able to control my mood.

Pcos is said to be connected to mood disorders such as depression, and bipolar. Mood swings, depression, and bipolar are underlying factors of an endocrine disorder. Treatment for these should be included in your treatment for pcos as a whole. Our mood disorders we face are often created by the elevated testosterone, and insulin resistance.

The mood swings, and the depression we face may be caused by our symptoms that affect us physically. Hair loss, Hair growth, or acne will tend to cause low self esteem resulting in depression. When we are depressed we usually perfer not to be bothered, we feel we need isolation so we are moody to people and push them away. The infertility or facing a miscarridge may be very stressful causing us to be moody and depressed however, with medication to fix our hormonal imbalances, or antidepressants we may get through it.

All B vitamins are good for depressive mood states, and spearmint tea is recommended for mood improvement. Two Cups a day. The first thing you should do to try and reduce mood swings, and depression is change your lifestyle. Avoid stress as much as possible, reduce your caffeine intake, excercise regularly, eat more protein, and get a good nights rest. Ontop of this take proper supplements. So ladies here are the ones I take, B12, VitaminD, VitaminE, B complex, Biotin, Calcium, and a Multivitamin.

I dunno about you ladies but to me the changing the lifestyle sounds like a great new years resolution. Me myself I am getting a gym membership first week in Jan to work off this christmas pudge. And eatting well will start back up again tomorrow when I eliminate bread, pasta, corn, potatoes, and rice outta my diet. Good luck ladies...Have a good day today, Not a moody one!! :)

Breakfast..Is important*

For me Breakfast is the most crucial meal of the day! It lets your body know your up it starts up your metabolism, and gives you energy to begin your day the right way. Having trouble losing weight or keeping it off? It may be because you are skipping breakfast. I your body goes longer between times of eatting it requires more energy and this will increase your hungary cause you to eat large quanties. When you are at work at school or just sitting at home do you feel lack of concentration? It is because your body is telling you it needs food. If you are a moody person as is, or have the mood swings involved with PCOS you DO NOT WANT TO SKIP BREAKFAST!! Skipping breakfast may lead to bad moods throughout the day due to the decrease in your serotonin which have a dramatic affect on your emotional wellness. SO ladies what did you get from all this?
DONT SKIP BREAKFAST!!
MAKE TIME!!
GET YOUR MORNING NUTRITION!

Ladies, so we have went of the Low carbing/No carbing and low GI ways of healthy eatting to promote weight loss, and well the truth is you can not skip breakfast in either of those ways.
For me low carbing/no carbing Breakfast was essential. When I knew Id be in a rush I would cook some turkey sasuages the night before and make some hard boiled eggs to bring. But my usual daily breakfast consisted of egg whites scrambled with cheese on them. At the start I would eat Bacon to begin the process because fats dont count and they are low in carbs, but than after a few days I switched to turkey sasuages. To mix it up I would do over easy eggs with chesse on it and still have the meat. The may thing I did not no longer do was use KETCHUP!! which was hard at the start but after awhile eatting healthy tastes real good :) If I wanted veggies I would mix greenpeppers olives, and mushrooms into my scrambled eggs. If you are having trouble feeling full off this or need something more add oatmeal into your diet HIGH on fibre so you would minus that from the carbs. Do not eat the instant Oatmeal if this is the way your going.

After you are able to lose or manage weight adding multigrain or whole wheat bread back into your diet is not a problem. If you check out the low GI foods I posted you will notice whole wheats are mediums on the scale so if you are not eatting too much it will not kill you. I eat whole wheat bread again. The key is NO MORE WHITE!!

Also ladies we are trying to regulate our blood sugar levels to relieve symptoms, and avoid heart disease, or even fainting( happened to me!). We must divide our food intakes over the day so we do not run into issues, and starting with breakfast is the best way.

THINGS TO AVOID!
Using condiments
Do not eat toast
Eatting awhile after getting up
Always eatting high fat foods

Things to TRY!!
Eat as soon as possible
Eat a lot because this is your energy
Change things up every so often
Try turkey strips or sasuages
Eat lots of eggs
Buy egg whites
Use cooking oil instead of margerine or butter
Getting up earlier to have time to eat

Ladies, I just had my breakfast are you going to have yours? YOU BET YOUR BLOODY BUTT YOU ARE DONT READ THIS AND SKIP IT..GET REAL! GO BOIL THOSE EGGS, COMMON!!

Just a warm thankyou to our Cyster Sandra for requesting this Blog. Thank you.

Vitamin B / and deficiency*

I had something to do today but Im way too tired.. and on top of that I forget what it was I had to do.Maybe if I take a nap I will have more energy and remember. I've slept for 4 hours and still feel weak I am wondering where my family is and why I am in bed I forget everything!  If this sounds like you, you may have a vitamin B deficiency.

Are you getting the right amount of B vitamins? Are you eatting the right things that provid us with vitamin B? Do you know all the vitamin B's that are important to us women with PCOS? Do you eat eggs, beef, or seafood? Do you know the signs of vitamin B deficiency?

B vitamins are important for helping us correct all our symptoms with pcos. I take a multivitamin a b12, and biotin supplments. With weight associated with PCOS vitamins B2,B3,B5,and B6 help us control our weight and shed unwanted pounds. Breaking it down. B2 turns the fats, sugars, and protein we consume into energy. B3 is used for gluscose tolerance and everytime our blood sugars rise this is released. With B3 in our bodies it allows us to keep everything balanced. B5 helps with our weight loss because it controls our fat metabolism and promotes loss of weight. B6 is needed to keep all our hormones balanced.  Now we combine some of the B vitamins such as B6,B2, and B3 and this helps us maintain our thyroid hormones.

Metformin causes us women with PCOS to form vitamin B12 defieciency. This defieciency may cause brain and nervous system damage. The metformin doses we are taking may affect our ability to apsorb vitamin B12. Women with PCOS tend to take higher doses of metformin compared to those with diabetes due to their weight. Vitamin B12 is a water Soluble vitamin and is needed for proper red blood cell formation, and brain functioning. Us women with PCOS are also at a higher risk of devolping heart disease, and guess what? Vitamin B12 deficiency only makes our odds higher at getting heart disease.

Deficiency Signs**
  • Anemia
  • Infertility
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Memory loss
  • Confusion
  • Tingling in hands or feet
We can get adequate amounts of vitamin B12 from animal foods such as eggs, seafood, beef and diary products. Supplements such as Multivitamins, B12 vitamins, Biotin,B complex supplements, B2, b3, B5, B6 may also be needed and are all easy to find at your local drug store.

Women who are having trouble concieving may need to level out their deficiency before they have luck on their TTCjournies. Also women that are pregnant need more vitamin B12 because it helps the babies brain, and body grow and build.

I myself take biotin another Vitamin B because in many of the womans success stories of hair regrowth this was part of the treatment. Also before taking it I felt like my nails did not grow and since starting the supplement religiously I have nails! My toenails grow too fast now (n) but hey at least  I am experiencing progress. B vitamins allow us to turn things and foods into energy along with Biotin. When you have proper amounts of Biotin in your body your nerve tissues, sweat glands, and bone marrow are all functioning at their best. Biotin is responsible for breaking down the carbrohydrate we eat which also makes it a help in keeping our blood sugar levels in check.

So ladies DO NOT FORGET!! Vitamin B's are crucial to us to help relieve the awful symptoms we are faced with. Do yourself a favour take supplements, and eat those eggs.

Low GI

Do you find low carbing/ no carbing too hard to achieve? Do you still want to eat everything around you? If you barely eat are you real tired? Are you deteremined to get that weight off? Do you want to chose a healthy living lifestyle with more choices? Well Maybe.. the choice your looking for is LOW GI dieting.

GI stands for glycemic index. GI shows the effects of carbs on our blood sugar levels. When you are chosing food from the low GI scale you are chosing carbrohydrates that are breaking down much slowly releasing glucose into our bloodstream over a period of time. With this type of diet I have read many success stories of women that overcame PCOS. This diet is more or less the diet to use to avoid picking foods that make your blood glucous levels to surge rapidly( cuzing symptoms, weight gain, mood swings).

What has been created is a low glycemic index scale that ranks foods we eat and enjoy. The foods best for us rank 55 and under on the index. These are the complex carbrohydrates that maintain to keep us fuller for a longer period of time which also helps with weight loss because NO MORE BINGE eatting, You're full! For us women with PCOS they reduce the risk of us developing type 2 dieabetes, and help us shed off the unwanted extra pounds.

Sooo, what are some food your enjoy? Well I enjoy.....
apples                                     GI-36
banana bread                          GI- 47
whole wheat speghetti              GI-37
oranges                                   GI- 43
macaroni                                 GI- 45
tomato                                    GI- 15
tomato soup                            GI- 38
cherries                                   GI- 22

And.. most non starchy veggies have a GI of 15.

Now which foods are cuz surges in our blood sugar levels?
HIGH GI FOOD/ FOODS TO AVOID!
Instant Rice                           GI-91
Baked Potato                        GI-85
Instant Mashed Potatos        GI-83
Bagel                                     GI-72
French Fries                         GI-76
Mashed Potatos                   GI-73
Dougnuts                              GI-75
White bread!!                       GI-79
Watermelon                          GI-72
Honey                                   GI-73

As you can see the low carbing/no carbing one I chose to follow is very much like this both do not recommend white bread, french friends, any form of potatoes and rice. The difference is LOW GI gives you much more of a variety with few limitations. Also with the low carbing/ no carbing you are turning your body into a fat burning machine because your stalkin up on Protein.

Remember ladies there are 3 different rankings food can get LOW GI, MEDIUM GI, AND HIGH GI.
The ones we are really trying to avoid are the HIGH GI foods. Some foods that make the medium list include. Popcorn, Special K, brown rice, Icecream, Oatmeal cookies, whole wheat bread, and sweet potatoes although these are not as good as the LOW GI foods you may still want to put the in your diet.

This healthy life style choice maybe the one for you. It may be good to say I wanna low GI as a new years resolution. Hey you could even have just no carbing days and low GI most of the time. The decision is up to you on which way you want to go about changing your lifestyle.

Now my question to you ladies is..... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
your friend Court.

Excercise!!

Work those abs, work those thighs, DO YOU FEEL THE BURN? work those butts, work those calves, work those arms, DO YOU FEEL THE BURN? Make your heart race, go faster, alright now slow it down , CAN YOU FEEL IT? 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, DONT GIVE UP GET IT DONE. do you feel it in your muscles? do they ache? The more you feel it the more its working LADIES! Get off the Couch get out of the house FEEL THE BURN! And whatever you do.. DONT GIVE UP!!

So ladies, I have went over healthy eatting and that form of weight lose but with that I encourage you to incooperate some excercise. Little is better than nothing and than as you go you can build your way up to longer length of time more difficult work outs. How I started was by doing little cardio on the treadmill starting at 15 minutes running some and walking some, and I took it up to 30 minutes of just running. When I started I was aware I had little muscle on my body and muscle helps you lose fat so I did that little bit of cardio than did arm weights, and leg weights, also used some of the ab machines at the gym. But that is where I spent most of my time when beginning to workout was building muscle.

I also checked out YOUTUBE videos for butt and leg excercise because lets face it most of us women do not have the bodies we want with PCOS and I always think my butt is too small. I started doing lounges and they hurt. Walking up the stairs in college I could feel the burn the next day. I chose to watch YOUTUBE excecise videos and Bought two excericse DVD'S. Yes, I bought a dancing one but that is still working out, and it was a lot of fun.

With PCOS ladies really anytype of activity will benefit us. How many of you are prediabetic? Excecise in anyform will help with this also it will help with your insulin resistance.

To incooperate aerobic excercise into your life style you can swim laps, run on the treadmill, take walks until you are ready to run, use the stair climbing machine( I love this one). Once you get used to excercise it is said for best results do aerobic excercise 5 days a week for 60 minutes.

Strength training is one of the best tool a girl like us can have for weight loss. Each pound of muscle you have in your body burns 35 calaroies a day,so the more muscle we have the more calories we burn. Due to the fact you need some time for your muscles to build it is only recommended we do strength training like every other day for 30 minutes. You can do squates, lunges, free weights, situps, or pushups.

Interval Training is another way you can maximize your weight loss. This type of training will allow for you to do less cardio when need because you go harder for a short period of time. At the gym around me there are many group activities such as kickboxing, power cycle, yoga, power burn and alot of these leave you feeling exhausted after 30 minutes. They work out almost every muscle in your body, and allow you to meet new people, and have a good time. This type of training breaks it down into intervals so, you go slow, than fast, than slow, than real fast. It is the type of excercising we need it gets our hearts going.

So inorder for us to be on the right track with our PCOS wether it be we are trying to concieve, trying to just lose weight, trying to relieve symptoms, or trying to no longer be predieabetic we need to have some sort of weight loss, and excercise is key. I know it may be hard at the start but with continuous trying your body will get used to it. SO ladies I want one of your newyears resolutions to be excercise and stick to it. If you dont have a gym membership GET ONE!..if you have one Go more than you do OR stay longer...And if your just beginning get a dog so you are forced to go on some sort of walks and trust me you will learn to enjoy them!

Mushrooms..*

When I first saw you I wanted to know what you were! When I saw mommy eatting you I knew I would get to try. I grew up having you on my steak, in batter, stuff, in my yummy soup, on platter trays, plain with butter and salt, on my pizza, and in my pasta. To this day you are still one of my favourite. Mushrooms I want to thank you for always being there in so many different arrangments!
I love MUSHROOMS! DO YOU? HOW DO YOU EAT YOURS?

DID YOU KNOW?
Mushrooms have been used for thousands of years my the chinese the nativies, and the euroupean. Mushrooms are used for medicine and cooking. They are known are a vegetable or a herb but they are actually fungi. There are 14,000 different types of mushrooms, 3.000 of them are edible, and 700 have known medical properties. So yes ladies this is your warning never go out and pick your own mushrooms because those that are non edible maybe poisonous. 80 to 90 percent of a mushroom is water!

Mushrooms are an excellent source of potassium, which lowers elevated blood pressure, and reduces our risk of stroke or having a heartattack. They contain selenium which is good for our bladder functioning. Also like us when they are in the sunlight they produce the wonderful vitamin D. Mushrooms give us iron, and I dunno about some of you ladies but I was getting my period 3 times a month and taking iron supplements to avoid fatigue, mushrooms may have just been the answer I was looking for. Mushrooms are known to promote immune system health. They help create antiviral and other proteins while the cells are trying to repair and protect us. Like many superfoods mushrooms have antioxidants in them which help fight free radicals in our systems. Free radicals cause oxidation in our bodies ladies, and that is something we dont want.  Mushrooms help get our metabolisms kick started because of all the vitamin B's in this superfood. Vitamin B's are needed to turn our carbs into fuel for us to use which is taken to give us energy. The selenium in mushrooms protects us women from cancer of the bladder.

How do you eat them?
Stuffed
Fried
in pasta, or stirfry
with eggs
on pizza
in stew or soup
raw with dip
battered
on sandwiches
on steak with onions
in salad

Mushrooms can be aten with any meal of the day in a variety of ways, its your choice...which way would you like?

Turkey...*

Merry Christmas, Gobble Gobble Gobble sit around and enjoy me this christmas. Stuff me with stuffing and indulge. I am loud and noisy when I am alive, and when Im served to you on your plate Im delicious and once your done your satisfied. I will see you at your christmas dinner, and than will not see you again until Thanksgiving! UNLESS!!!! you add me into your daily diet a little more. Gobble gobble ..

Turkey is my favourite comfort food, and also my favourite holiday treat. It is a heart healthy lean source of protein. Turkey contains nutrients and minerals such as selenium, niacin, and vitamin B6. Instead of using beef when cooking try turkey. Turkey has half the fat beef contains, and 30% less calories. Protein is needed for our bodies to grow. With us women with pcos having a high protein diet also aids in our quest to lose weight. Instead if carbs chose proteins, and turkey my friends is a great source. Next time your at subway, or at a restaurant try to get something with turkey in it. Turkey has less cholestoral that chicken, beef,or pork.

nutrients& minerals:

choline
folate
vitamin c
vitamin a
selenium
iron
phosphorus
calcium

Selenium is one of the trace mineral in turkey. This is good in order to prevent cancer cell development. It also helps make our immune system alot stronger which protects us from the cold time a year, and the common cold. Many of us women with PCOS have thyroid issues, and the selenium in turkey helps our thyroid hormone metabolism.

Niacin is another mineral found in turkey. It has one of the same helpful properties as selenium which is the fact it helps prevent cancer. With are days getting busier as life goes on and the issues we face, or the small amount of sleep we are getting

**Ways to eat**

you can get Turkey cutlets
ground turkey
turkey pieces
boneless turkey
and the big holiday turkeys :)

Yes, I know it is hard to fit turkey into your healthy diet, but it is possible, so make it happen. Next time your having a salad instead of chicken through in some turkey with almonds for a crunchy taste. Instead of beef hamburgers have turkey. In the morning I love eatting turkey sasuages. When your choosing between sandwich meets chose turkey. Instead of beef in your stirfrys, chilies, or anything your putting it in use turkey.

There is amino acid tryptophan in turkey that helps people with insomina. You know when you have a huge turkey dinner, and than you are soo tired after? That is because the effect of this acid is sleep. I love sleeping after having a holiday meal.

Eggs..*

Crack em, flip em, pepper them, boil them, fry them, mix them, scramble them, eat them hard, eat them soft, eat them as an omelette eat them deviled. Some people like them sunny side up, some srambled..but me myself I like them over easy or poched. PEOPLE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT EGGS! lovely white or brown eggs! You can eat the whites or you can eat them with the yolk..what ever way works for you to enjoy this amazing superfood.

Eggs are good for our brains, nervous system and cardiovascular system. Adding eggs to your diet will boost your health. Eggs promote healthy hair and nails from the b12 amd high content of sulphur they offer. Eggs contain many different nutrients and the right fats (omega 3's) that will also help us lose weight. These tasty little babies are low in calories, high in protein, and low in carbs, and fat. They are packed with nutrients such as Vitamin D..eGGS are a major source of natural vitamin D, Vitamin b12, selenium, and choline. The choline in eggs is important for pregnant women to recieve because it helps form the babies brain. Eggs and their nutrients normalize our blood pressure.

The rumor we have been told for years regarding egg yolk is false! The truth is our bodies use the yolk in eggs in away(using the nutrients)that does not lead to heart disease. Yolk has lutein& zeaxanthin in them which helps our eye health. The yolk of an egg has an additional 2.8gs of protein added on to the egg white. So inorder to give yourself all the nutrients of an egg you must eat the whole thing in some form. That is how it is a superfood!

Due to the fact eggs are low in fat and calories they are great when it comes to weight loss. As a matter of fact eggs are one way I have managed to keep my weight off. If you begin to eat two eggs a day breakfast is best you will notice they help to keep unhealthy food cravings away. My low carbing/no carbing way of losing weight ment high protein intake and eggs give you that. If you want to change it up a little or eat more eggs than just two aday try to go from whole eggs to just eggs whites because do not get me wrong but too much eggs will not be beneficial. The fact that eggs are low in carbs, fat, and high in protein also antioxidants it makes them a great food to add to your weight loss journeys.

If you add raw eggs to your morning smoothie or are just a champ and can drink a rough egg you will recieve tons of biotin. I take biotin supplements right now for healthy hair growth. It helps with nails aswell, growth as well as brittlness may be helped from biotin.

Broccoli..*

I like it cold, I like it hot, Sometimes I boil it, steam it, or eat it fresh. I love putting it with things, or eatting it off a platter at a gathering when its with its friends. I keep it frozen or buy it fresh. I love to dip it or put cheese on it or just eat it plain. I like it cooked I love it raw. Its extremely good for you, and green...one last hint it looks like a little green tree. Do you know?

MmMm  **Broccoli** MmmMm

Broccoli helps our blood pressure, our nervous system, keeps us protected from the sun, helps our bones, prevents heart disease, eye health, gives us vitamin C, and helps us lose weight.. NO WAY...WAY :)

Not only is this veggie a goldmine when it comes to nutrients it's prevention and help with cancer is amazing. This veggie targets and blocks a defective gene that will lead to cancer. Substances in Broccoli call ITC'S stop the growth of cancer. The powerful antioxidants in broccoli  are also considered anti-carcinogens because they stop or slow down the growth of breast, and cervical cancer, and they help our liver.

When you are on a detox diet broccoli should be added to your essential daily foods. This food helps protect us from the sun because the nutrients in it are so powerful it allows our body to detoxify and repair itself.

Broccoli will help you lose weight! Not only is it low in carbs and you can eat it with everything or anyway it contains protein, and fibre which will make it so you do not overeat. Remember with green veggies especially carbs do not affect our no carb/low carb diet because the carb count in these veggies is broke down into dietary fibre, starch, and sugar. There usually is no starch is dark green leafy veggies such as broccoli and the sugar count when you look at it that way is barely nothing. Vegetable such as Broccoli do more good for us than bad.

You can begin to heal your PCOS with superfoods such as broccoli. When it comes to losing weight this is one of the right foods to eat daily with PCOS. The way it reduces are heart disease chances is also very amazing. Lowers our blood sugar which will help with insulin resistance. If you are a cyster chosing to follow the GI food index broccoli makes that list aswell because it is a low GI food. To keep all broccolis nutrients and vitamins at there highest eat it raw or steam it for a very short period of time.

So whats your deal? Are you a Broccoli fan like me? Do you eat it daily or try to? Do you like it raw or cooked? I gotta go.....

All this talk about Broccoli is making me hungry. Broccoli and dip anyone? I THINK SOO!!

Avacado....

Goes by Avacado, Guacamole, and Alligator pear. This powerhouse superfood is a fruit. It contains no sugar, and offers us 25 essential nutrients and minerals! Due to the fact this fruit is very filling it will allow us to not overeat or eat when we are not hungry because it offers us slow burning fuel.

I would not recommend this when you are in your first two weeks of low carbing because this fruit does have carbs, and fat. Once you are on your third week of low carbing add about 5 slices a day to your diet to recieve the health benefits of this wonderful fruit.Due to the fact avacados have no sugar and have an absence of starch it is good for diabetics or even prediabetics. Adding a few small slices into our three daily snacks will keep our blood sugar levels balanced.

Nutrients/Minerals/Vitamins:

Vitamin A
B complex
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Magnesium
Phospphorus
Iron
Copper
Zinc

The vitamins C and E together allow antixodants properties to apply when eatting an avacado. It is a great antioxidant.

The sodium and potassium in avocados is what keeps our bodies chemically balanced. The iron and copper help stimulate health in our blood. Avacodos hel reduce LDL cholestrol and are great for our heart. Avacados lower the triglycerides in the blood which is good for diabeties. Avacados are also beneficial for pregnant women because it helps develope the brain and other tissues of the baby. Just like our last superfood spinach, avacados promote eye health due to the cartonoids. This fruit is a powerhouse for vitamin E which promotes healthy and young looking skin also aiding in acne. The vitamin E keeps our skin safe from free radicals. Avacados reduce the risk of stroke and many other things ladies with PCOS are prone to. Reduces the risk of oral cancer, and breat cancer.

Ways to eat Avacados!!

Make it into a healthy veggie dip
Guacamole
instead of butter use avacado spread
avacado juice mixed with honey
avacado and tuna fish salad
avacado and chicken and tomato in oven
add it into your sushi

substitute your sandwich meat for avacado

I have personally tried Guacamole, love it.. Avacado dips/spread I made my own it was amazing I used it on crackers, and for veggies..if you can not cut chips outta your life this would also be a great dip. I have had asian Avacado drinks MMMM!!! Plain slices are good if you add a little salt.

Trying To Concieve*

Mark, Scott, Shawn, Adam, Brody, Aiden, Trevor, Jesse, Robbie, Kyle, Wayne, Shane, Geoff, chris, Jordan, Justin, Ryan, Cody, Riley.... Now what about if it is a girl? Kerry, Amber, Courtney, Brittany, Payton, Maddie, Ava, Brielle, Lisa, Alanna, Vanessa, Grace, Christina, Michelle, Melissa, Raylene, Elaine, Sarah, Jessica, Robin, Jenna.. Yes! I like those names :)

The problem many women with PCOS face is the fact that is hard to get pregnant. And than once we are pregnant is it hard to make sure we do not have a misscarriage. There are many things us women with pcos can do to better our chances of pregnancy. Different Medications, and different healthy living skills will help in our journey on trying to concieve.

The doctor told me I was unable to get pregnant, and at that time I was not on Birth control. He told me to lose weight, and eat better for my PCOS so I did. I started going to the gym four nights a week and liminating my carb intake. I was taking metformin, and drinking lots of green tea to aid in weight loss.. also water. At the gym I chose to run on the treadmill for 25 minutes a night and than stick to weight training sometimes I would use the walker. After about 2 months of excercise my stomach started hurting one day. I was used to irregular periods so I was not worried. After 2 weeks of stomach pains and having to leave class to throw up I tried a pregnancy test...And well what do you know after two tests to be sure...I WAS PREGNANT. My doctor could not believe it!

Excercise is key to helping us women get pregnant. Even if you are unable to do a large amount of it start with walking a little. Situp I started with 20 two times a day and move up every 4 days or when I am comfortable to 5 more. I avoid drinking alcohol as much as possible now because it aids in weight loss. Even just losing a little percent of your body fat will help, and it will continue to progress with the more you lose.

Vitex also know as  chaste tree Chasteberry helps with fertility.
Vitex is a well known herb that has been used in Euroup for centuries. It is used for women with hormonal imbalances. Chasteberry can be taken daily for up to 18 months or until you get pregnant. However, Like many medications with PCOS it may take up to three months to see results.

175mg vitex extract
30-50 drops three times per day

Benefits:
  • Corrrects menstral cycles
  • Reduces chance of misscarriage
  • IMPROVES FERTILITY****
  • Regulates balance of estrogen and proestrogen
  • Reduces depression
  • Helps with acne
  • Gets rid of cysts on ovaries
Maca is another supplement that helps with fertility because Maca being a superfood it helps balance out our hormons amd gives us energy and vitality, but also makes us more fertile.

Clomid is given by your doctor, it does increase the risk of multiple births but hey if you are ready for it GO FOR IT! :) The way Clomid works is it causes an egg to mature, and release from our ovaries because as we know we have trouble with ovulation. What clomid does is induce ovulation in us women trying to concieve. It does this by increasing our proestrogen levels in our blood to create ovulation. If we are having problems with Fertility and weight loss, and excerise just are not working this is the first line of treatment.

Vitamins we should be taking when trying to concieve that will help our chances are:

VITAMIN C........
B6 AND B12.......
FOLIC ACID....
ZINC......
VITAMIN E.....
SELENIUM....

When trying to concieve it is also a good idea to get ideal amounts of sleep, reduce stress, and get support maby by even just talking to reduce frustration because I know it can be a frustrating journey. Healthy nutrional eatting is also key eat lots of veggies, and lean proteins. You have to get your body prepared for this pregnancy, and thus allowing it to take place. Vegetables such as brocolli help regulate estrogens metabolisms.Whole grains are rich in sources of iron and vitamin B which is needed for enhancing fertility hormones. You need to eat the right fats to get pregnant so include a handful of nuts into your daily diet. Remember stay hydrated by water because it not only helps in the proper function of our reproductive organs but also supplies the sperm with natural fluid to reach our cirvex!

TRIMESTER 1.. TRIMESTER 2...TRIMESTER 3....TRIMESTER 4....BABY!! ITS A BOY :)

Good luck to all my cysters trying to concieve it will happen when the time is right. Do not give up hope keep doing the right thing.. the saying is....

****THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT! ***

Support Groups*

I have been trying to have a baby nothing will work , my husband wants to have a child I can't, I look more likea beast with this hair growth than a woman, Im fat and I am doomed, I workout I eat alright I just can not lose weight, pimple say they can connect the dots on this face, I have a treasure chest hairlin..Dont men have that?, I am going to be bald at 23!, I am unable to go into a store on my own, I can not deal with all this stress!!

What do you do if this is happening to you? You get support! That is why SUPPORT GROUPS are very important to us women with PCOS. Support groups for us could be counselling, bestfriends, fellow cysters, husbands, girlfriends, actual groups you meet with weekly, or even our doctors.

Doctors that help with PCOS: Endocriniologists(hair, diet), Dermatologists(acne darkspots skin), Regular family doctors(Metformin, and Cysts), Gynecologist( pregnancy, and periods), Dietians(healthy eatting weight lose) .They all help us in one way our another..and due to some of us having anxiety and being stressed out or dealing with depression we may want to speak with a counsellor or a psychologist. Nothing is wrong with getting help from professionals!

I myself have of course a family doctor he sends me for blood work monitoring my glucose, and informing me of my risk of dieabetes also prescribes me with anxiety medication, and Metformin. My dermatologist started me on Spirolactone for hair loss and prescribed me mindixional however I did not like that. My gynecologist makes sure I am getting my periods and informs me of all the risks with PCOS. She gives me birth control that stabilizes periods usually ones high in estrogen. Not to mention performs annual paps. My enocriniologist which is my fav support doctors ups my doses when other doctors say they can not. She specializes in hormones, and diaebetes. She is actually the only one that ever examines my hair aswell for regrowth. With her medications and support she makes sure my potassium and sodium levels are fine through blood work.

Due to the fact many friends and family member do not have PCOS they do not understand the severity of this syndrome. Talking to one of the people that will not understand is like talking to wall, or getting response like you are crazy, you dont even have facial hair ..WHERE is it? They will say. Talking to people that do not understand may stress us out more, or even make us depressed so it is up to us to speak with the right people.

Having correct support groups is extremely important for us in trying to recover or deal/managed our PCOS. Support groups help with Anxiety,Depression, Obessive Compulsive disorder, BiPolar, Moodiness,Loneleniss, and stress. When I have no1 to talk to regarding my PCOS I feel isolated and alone which brings on depression. Yes, even though I write these blogs ladies trust me I still myself have depressing days. Since I have started my Pcos Facebook I have met about 3 ladies on there that I confide with and just vent to it really helps because yes I still need support aswell. Talking to a fellow cyster allows you to vent, explain, share ideas, and give eachother hope it really does feel great.

Support Groups help keep us emotional stable, and with all the different amounts of hormones us women with pcos have going on they are important. Someday we may want to cry, throw things, binge eat, sleep all day, isolate ourselves but the truth is if you get the support you need these days will soon start to reduce more and more. Dealing with pcos means balancing everything out and have over all well being. In order to do that you need sleep, healthy nutrion, excercise, and a good mindset support groups can help with all four of those aspects.

I DARE YOU, EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU TO:
Pick a fellow cyster on your FB today and ask her if you can talk. She will more than likely say yes..and than just vent to her.. than let her vent to you. Make eachother know that you are always willing to talk to one another, and that right there ladies is step one of getting support.

My biggest problem was not realizing when I needed support, and always turning to the wrong people that just brought me down further. In college I needed someone to talk to and should of taken the chance for a free counsellor but I told myself no they will just think I am crazy aswell I was ashamed, and embarrassed I isolated myself. It was not until I met my girlfriend who has been through couselling for her own lose that told me it really does help. Since than I know my doctors appoinments are not long but I chose to vent to them and they kind of counsel me. When I do go back to university I will definetly be taking advantage of the counselling service.

If you become stress or depressed because you are not getting support it will..

Make it harder to lose weight...
Affect your hormone balances....
Make it so you have no energy.....
Make it so you feel like giving up......
Allow you to have too many days of just crying....
Cause problems with your period......
Also make it hard to get pregnant.....

Is any of that what you want? NO so go out and get some support.

Husbands,Girlfriends,Boyfriends..you can tell when they put interest into you syndrome and try and help you as best they can which is great support. They may not be dealing with what we are however they will stand by you and let you vent. My girlfriend hears about my hair issues daily and she is right there for me to vent to and confide in. The thing is you have to open up. Yes, it may be hard to open up but do the right thing do not keep it all bottled up talk to someone who is special to you. Worst case scenario they think your crazy and you realize you choose the wrong person to talk to...It happens ohwell try again.

PCOS has numerous different facebook  groups, pages that you can get support, also my blog is here for support, I am here for support, there are different forums online that you can get support, there is over the phone counselling that really helps. Resources are here for us ladies its just up to us when we use them.

Ladies getting support is not a bad thing! For us it really helps..So do not be afraid be a big girl, and open the next door to your coping with PCOS...you can do it. Get support!!!

Cinnamon

I like it spicy, I like it sweet, I like it warm, I like it in many different forms... I like it when I drink my tea, I like it when I eat my cereal...I like it before I go to bed, I like it when I get up.. I like it when I'm sick, I like it when I'm fine..I like it cold,I will like it when I am old, When I see it out its sold.. CINNAMON!!

I put cinnamon sticks in my green tea or peppermint tea, I put ground cinnamon in with my ground beef or on my pork chops, I mix it in with what ever I am having on bread such as peanut butter/ butter,it is great in cereal, or poridge.. I put it on my fruit. **Remember when I say bread I am eatting whole wheat or multigrain.** It is easy to add cinnamon to your cooking with other spices and is very good for you.

The definition of cinnamon is the dried aromatic bark of a certain tropical Asian trees, often ground and used as a spice. It is true cinnamon is used as a spice but it you let it sit in a herbal tea for long enough it gives it a sweet flavour.

When it comes to pcos and relating cinnamon to it..it's easy. Cinnamon is used for insuline resistant which alot of us cysters are, and it helps with diseases such as diabetes. It has the ability to reduce blood sugar, which is a great help and needed with people that have prediabetes. It also has a great affect on lower glucose levels that prevent diabetes. You can take cinnamon in many forms the bark, grounded, pill form.

If you are having trouble with Metformin or are unable to take it try cinnamon. Although I am already on met I still add little bits of cinnamon to my daily food intake. Without using metformin you can take the bill form of 2000mg a day. If you are on Metformin I would recommend a lot less than that.

Benefits:
  • cure prediabetes
  • antioxidant which cleans your body of toxins
  • helps menstral cramps
  • helps Insulin resistance
  • plays same roll as Metformin
If you are taking cinnamon and Metformin at the same time like me realize they do some different things. Cinnamon lowers blood sugar levels and Metformin reduces insulin resistance. The thing is you just can not use too much cinnamon or you will have a dramatic blood sugar drop.

Cinnamon being an antioxidant does exactly what it says prevents oxidization reactions in the body. Oxidization in our body leads to free radicals that are bad and can contribute to disease, and aging. They do not only remove the free radicals but repair what they have done. You can get antioxidants in tastey foods such as cinnamon! Brocolli, Sunflower seeds, almonds.

This doesnt mean eat anything you see at Tim Hortons or other fast food/ dessert places with Cinnamon..DUH common silly... It means add Cinnamon to things you think it would taste good on.

Emotional Well Being

DO YOUR EMOTIONS GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR DAILY LIFE?

When I started to notice my hair was thinning in college I remember going to bed for the next week crying because I did not know what to do. I told my mother, father, sister, bestfriend, and boyfriend at the time that I thought I was balding they all thought I was crazy. I started questioning myself is it all in my head. When I started losing my hair I noticed how much would fall out and count it..yes not fun.. and a;ways take cellphone photos of the back of my head. I remember calling my college proff at one of the end of the semester jail visits and saying I could not make it crying to her on the phone because I was self concious. My family friends, and boyfriend quickly got sick of me talking about losing my hair. I was unable to focus, and than I started to believe my head was burning where hair was falling out. This hair loss obession took up my life.. my time.. everything I thought had to do with hair. When it was really bad I went to my doctor and told him I could no longer focus on other things in my daily life and he put me on Cirplex for Obsessive compulsive/ anxiety issues. Another thing I did that was wrong was read all the negative stories about hair loss. But its been about a year and a half now and I can honestly say I do not think about hair 90% of my day anymore its down to about 10%. Last time I went to the endocriniologist she said she saw hair growth, so I still waiting for the day I notice the impact of growth.. I will continue trying and not give up I am determined

Anyways, My story contributes to my emotional well being. At the start of this hair loss journey I was depressed, anxious, lonely, isolated, stressed out, and moody. I was a wreck very emotionally unstable. For ladies who do not know emotional well being is related to mental health concerns. With symptoms we are faced with such as acne, hair growth , and hair loss we start to build a poor self esteem. Not only do these symptoms affect our self esteem the tend to make us emotionally unstable aswell, so we must try to tak care of our own well being as part of recovery. On top on the unstibility and syptoms the syndrome itself is associated with mood disorders like depression/bipolar.

The hormonal changes are the know cause of emotional smyptoms  we are faced with. Treating our PCOS may be a better treatment for our moods depression, and anxiety than antidepressants. With us not taking care of our well being we have a greater chance of likely getting METABOLIC DISEASE due to the stress.

Emotional distress is the gap between the way you want things, and the way they are - Annette Colby

THINGS TO HELP KEEP YOU STABLE:

  • openly talk about your symptoms
  • talk to your cysters, you are not alone
  • recognize PCOS is a major stress but you will survive
  • change up your lifestyle (eatting, drinking, suppourt groups)
  • Admit to people why you turned down that cheeseburger
  • Identify your strenghts daily and build on them. Do NOT FOCUS ON NEGATIVES
  • let go of things that are not working
  • believe in the bigger you
  • Chose a hobby that is not stressful, like reading, writting, yoga, walking, and fit it into your day to relieve stress.
Day by Day step by step, Let each and everyone of us know that we will never be alone. Although I may be in another part of the world or speaking to you via computer screen I am still her for you, for I am your cyster and this was the hand that was chosen for us. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS..I WILL GET THROUGH THIS...YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS..

Metformin..number 1 pcos Med*

Where do I start with my pcos? Where did you start? What do you recommend? You can chose to go the herbal way or the medication way. What is the number one medication that has helped relieve your symptoms? How do I get it? Where do I get it? How do I take it? If I am sick what is wrong with me?...The answer to some of these questions is METFORMIN.

Metformin is usually used for diabetes type 2 however, it is also very effective for women with pcos like me and you. I was told I was prediabetic, and that is the reason I started taking the medication called metformin. I have now been taking it two times a day for about two years now. I take 500mg in the morning after eatting and 500mg after eatting at dinner time.

Metformin is helpful when you are trying to reduce the amount of testosteron your body produces, and when you are trying to regulate your crazy menstral cycle that comes along with pcos. Within a few weeks it will also slowly start to help you with your chances of fertility. In addition us cysters have a hard time lossing weight, and even the metformin is not used for this purpose it helps. If you are prediabetic it will also reduce your chances of one day having full out type 2 diabetes. Metformin is helpful with all pcos samples for example if you are growing facial hair, or back/chest hair metformin will help. You can combine Metformin with 50mg of spiro twice a day to help with hirsutism.

Metformin Informations...

Take after you eat ..

Metformin is prescribed by a doctor...

cinnamon does alot of the same things as Metformin......

in first few weeks you may experience diarrhea or upset stomach....

It works best with a good nutrional balance and daily excercise....

If the side affects of Metformin are bad for you lower your dosage by speaking with the doctor...

Due to the fact 40% of us ladies with pcos have insulin resistance Metformin is also used to regulate insulin sensitivity. Insulin Resistance is when these is reduction of our glucose. The pancreas works harder to correct that and produces more insulin. With high insulin levels, over time you are more prone to developing type 2 diabetes. High insulin is us makes our ovaries create excessive amounts of androgens.

Metformin has been very useful for me..I hope it as helpful for all you ladies

Acne

My neck, my face,my back geez I feel like I'm one large connect the dots activty. I was my face whenever I get the chance because it is always oily, I have white, I have black, and I have these things that are just red bumps everywhere. I pop and pop and pop but they just keep comming back. I'm blotchy, I'm spotty, I turn different colours, and than I am popped! what am I? A pimple! If your having pimple issues it is probally the cause of acne.

Many of us cysters have a large amount of acne. If this is your case you can try first off to improve your insulin sesitivity by choosing low glycemic foods or doctor prescribed medications. We experience acne because our hormones are not balanced...well uhh duh! Acne comes from excess androgens and imflammation due to other hormones. However, Insulin it the key hormone that creates our acne. Once we get our hormones back under control, and normal acne will no longer be a symptom to distress about. Medications do work for acne but, they are not dealing with the underlyning cause which is our hormones.. they are only masking the symptom we are facing. DHT created by androgens( TESTOSTERON) promotes oil which can lead to clogged pores resulting in acne. Ance with pcos women have occur on their face, neck, chest, and back.

DID YOU KNOW???....

Oily foods DO NOT cause acne

Dairy, and carbs contribute to acne

cleaning your bedsheets once a week will help

Avoiding Sugar, and other refined carbrohyrates will also improve acne symptoms

If you are experiencing Acne you can always go to your family doctor, and get a refferal to a dermatologist that specializes in skin.. or even better a endocriniologist who specializes in HORMONES.The causes for acne with women with pcos are first off hormones, and insulin resistance but, Stress, medications, makeup, too much face washing, and allergies also contribute to acne.

Treatments:

  • Spirnolactone..Spiro blocks aldosterone hormones that increase our blood pressure. Aldosterone is like testosterone so the medication blocks this hormone aswell. In all it helps lower our androgens therefore treating acne. My sister had acne, and does not even have pcos but the doctor prescribed her with spiro to eliminate the acne
  • Birth control
  • Metformin.. it helps with our insulin resistance which helps acne
Previously mentioned medications only mask our symptoms, we need to deal with the underlying cause. If you do chose to go with medications you can do a combination.

You may also want to chose vitamins or herbs to help you handle/ relieve your acne. Saw Palmetto, Vitamin E, Omega 3, Selenium, and B6 help with acne issues.

Enough with the popping already, drop the mirror, and go make your move :)

Weight Management!!! How to keep it off....

You still look like a tooth pick..GIRL how'd you do that? You lost weight and your kept it off incredible. I've been trying to manage my weight forever but it seems once I lose weight I gain it back shortly after. What are you secerets?

I walk, I am constantly busy, I have hobbies, I limit candy..if not try to avoid it, I drink my teas without sugar, i avoid dairy but cheese, I make substitutions, I decrease portions, I take vitamins, I take supplements, I take metformin, and I sleep when I can!

First, as you ladies know I did the low carbing/ no carbing thing for 2 weeks and than I did it for most of the 3rd week even though I lost 20 pounds in the first two weeks. When the low carbing/no carbing went well for me I chose to add things back slowly. I would eat a yougurt parfait with blueberries, raseberries or strawberries. I still tried to stick with fruits lower in sugar than the others. So berries are always a go bet. I know this may sound dumb but I chose subway or mr sub over other fast foods, and at the start of adding carbs back I would get a footlong but take off the top piece of bread so pretty much the same amount of bread as a 6 inch but more protein! When I do not have time to eat I drink a whey isolate protein shake in the day, one scoop is only .5 carbs. I still eat tons of veggies they are still my favorite however I took a month off eatting salad after eatting usually twice a day when I was doing low carb/ no carbing. I drink tons of water, and still avoid juices, but I do drink a little pop everyonce inawhile as a treat( I love ROOTBEER)! I go out to eat, and if fries are included I try and swap for sweet potatoe fries. Whenever I eat bread or pasta I go with whole wheat or multigrain. I never really liked rice so that wasnt a biggie. I eat potatoes only at family dinners and have a small amount.

Every morning I take my metformin, Spirolactone, 2 vitamin d's, 2 biotins, 1 vitamin e, and 1 multivitamin.

At dinner I take one metformin, 1 spirnolactone, 2 biotin, 1 vitamin B complex, 1 B12

And somewhere in between with a snack I take an iron supplement, maca, and saw palmetto or and birth control.

Lots of pills eh! My sister always cracks jokes what are you like 70! My mom thinks its cute:) haha

One huge thing I still do is never skip a meal! This keeps my bloodsugar normal. I drink tea like peppermint/spearmint that gets rid of my cravings. Cinnamon also helps control craving and I add that to my greentea. If I am still hungry after eatting I occupy myself in another one of my hobbies such as writting :)  I still eat lots of hard boiled eggs..mmm... and I walk alot! I am a child and youth worker so there is not much sitting involved also I walk my dog.

Its been hard keeping the weight off but Ill admit I wouldnt want to do it any other way. I was 161 pounds and told I was prediabetic, had cysts, my hairloss was increasing, told i would never get pregnant, got my period every 3-6 months very painful.. and now with weight loss and management I am no longer prediabetic, cysts gone, can get pregnant, get myperiod regular and less pain if any...the only thing is the hair is taking longer than all. But I knew when I did the low carbing/ no carbing I was in for the long haul and well I was right..and its paying off!!

If you try you have a better chance at succeding than if you dont try at all!

OMEGA WHAT? OMEGA 3'S***

So like.. all fats are bad for you or what? You're saying if I eat anything with fat in it is bad for me or my condition? I guess when I hear the word fat I should know that word means nothing good...FAT FAT FAT...WRONG! There are good healthy fats :) Omega 3's!

Omega 3's are mandatory unsaturated fatty acids. These fatty acids can not be created by our own body and are vital for normal metabolism. So omega 3's are beneficial to our general health but also very beneficial to us women with pcos. These healthy fats help prevent many different medical problems.

GOOD SOURCES:
Ground flax seed
oils (flax oil, canola oil, walnut oil)
green leaft veggies (spinach lettuce, brocolli)
salmon
walnuts
citrus fruits cherries
legumes

DID YOU KNOW?
one tablespoon of ground flaxseed a day is the daily omega 3 requirement. It must be ground..

omega 3's reduce free testosterone!!!!

they reduce the risk of becomming obese:) and improve our bodies response to insulin..No Really they do......

help prevent can cell growth............

omega 3 is the only omega we need .. omega 6 may increase androgens..and omega 9 is produced by our bodies naturally.......

There are many ways to tell that we are lacking in omega 3's. When you notice you hair or nails become brittle, you have type 2 diabetes or are at risk, depressed, at risk of heart disease, you are fatigue, or that you are a very moody person. GEEZ! alot of these sound like symptoms us pcos women may experience..RIGHT? why not increase you OMEGA 3 intake. You can do this simply by eatting the omega 3 sources more or supplementation.  When you are choosing an omega 3 supplement make sure it is a brand new so it is as pure as possible.

LADIES I WAS TAKING OMEGA 3-6-9 THAN FOUND OUT WHAT THE OTHER 2 DO/WERE
SO STARTED JUST TAKING OMEGA 3.. also our body needs good fats to lose the bad fats..yes sounds dumb to me to but that is how it works.

Go eat some fat, it will do your overall health good!

NO. NO NO, NOT THE KFC KINDA CHICKEN FAT... THE OMGEA 3 ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS KIND OF FAT.. GRAB SOME SALMON AND BROCOLLI

Two Hard weeks! No Carbs**

No pasta, no rice, no bread, no yogurt, no pop, no potatoes,no popcorn, no chips, no cookies, no fruit, no popsicles, no candy, no icecream, no milk, NO FAST FOOD, no corn, no cake, no crackers, no hot chocolate, no sugar, no ketchup, no relish, no carby salad dressings, no cottage cheese, no juice,no cream cheese, no sour cream,no sweet and sour sauce, no barbeque sauce. Sounds like a lot of "NO's " but this is called low carbing no carbing.

I did a no carbing/ low carbing healthy eatting for two weeks... and trust me it was hard! But well worth it :) So For two weeks I drank nothing but Water!! and Green Tea with nothing in it. You can add lemon to your water or green tea once every 2 days if youd like :) I no I said no fruit but lemon water is real good for us. In order for me to not eat other junk I prepared my daily snack, and lunches the night before because I would work the next day. I am aware that Dairy is bad for some of us but I ate alot of cheese for the 2 week no carb/low carb. I cut the brick cheese up or shred it. I would try to eat a snack every two hours so my blood sugar would not drop and I would be extremely hungery. The key to this healthy eatting is you count nothing but the carbs. NO FAT, NO CALORIES. I slighty followed the ATKIN rules. So how it works.. you eat a lot of protein that way your body turns in to a fat burning machine. I did not skip meals! Breakfast is crucial it starts up your metabolism. I ate salad every dinner.. and sometimes at lunch! with usually a little ceasar dressing or and oil based one. I tried not to eat after 8pm.. if you are still hungry try to eat things like EGGS,pickles, califlower or tuna with carbfree MAYO HELLMANS MAYO. I always used some sort of cooking oil instead of butters. You will also notice that alot of the things are repeat because they all help.

The first week is crucial to us ladies.. It is make or brake time.. and your body is getting used to the protein and no more sugar or carbs... So even cheating a little in the 1st week is a NO, NO!

When I noticed my hair falling out I wanted to try anything to stop it and restart regrowth and I know the foods listed in what I ate may not sound ideal they help. So you need to ask yourself how bad do you really want it?

So as you can see it looks boring but the key is going with PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN.. AND VEGGIES VEGGIES VEGGIES. I ate any meat as can you..when chosing meat try and get lean. The few things i cut up and brought with me daily as snacks to mix and match were cheese, peppers, celery, cucumber, olives, pickles.

ONE THING... if you do like olives they are considered a treat. I personally buy the ones that have no carbs but if you do not limit your olive consumption

If you notice my week you will see I do not change vegetable a lot and that is because the ones I selected have a good net carb that I did not mind.

celery one stalk                     .8  net carbs
cucumber  half cup                 1 net carb
brocolii  raw   half cup           1 net carb
calliflower  raw half cup         1 net carb
peppers  raw half cup            2.3 net carbs
spinach half cup raw             .2 net carbs
mushrooms half cup              1.2 net carbs

As for Vegetable such as

tomatoes they have             4.3 net carbs  per tomatoe
corn ..doesnt even make the list it is too starchy.

So as you can see.. if you just mix it up the second week with what I have provided you will be fine. BECAuse I think you can tell I just switched it up a little daily.

WHEN YOU are done your first week treat yourself try the EGG PIZZA YUM!! The hardest thing for me was bread but I did it.. close after was the pasta! Its hard but very DOABLE!!

Goodluck tell me how your two week healthy eatting goes. You have any questions or want to post how it went you are able to post on the blog under comments. Thanks Ladies ....Your friend Court
